How to avoid problems with Cartpanda Pay onboarding
Cartpanda Pay (Cpay) Onboarding is the process that validates your company and its legal representative before enabling payouts. This flow follows international compliance standards, ensuring greater security for both you and your customers.
Below, we list the most common errors during the Global registration process and how to avoid them so your application can be approved quickly.
Company Information
At this stage, we validate the existence and legal status of your company.
1. Personal Information in Company Fields
Entering your personal name in the Legal Name field or your residential address in the Business Address field.
Impact:
This causes an immediate failure in the automatic validation and requires a manual review, which delays the process.
How to Fix:
Use exactly the legal company name and business address listed in your company’s official registration documents.
2. Missing or Incorrect Registration Numbers
It is mandatory to correctly provide your company’s tax information according to the country of registration:
Companies outside Brazil:
Provide the Tax ID Number or the Business Entity ID (Company Registration Number).
Impact:
This prevents verification of the company’s legitimacy and pauses your onboarding process.
How to Fix:
Have your company documents ready and locate these numbers before starting the registration.
3. Attempting to Register a Non-Formalized Business
Trying to register a business that does not have a legal registration, such as a freelancer operating as an individual, or a company with unresolved tax issues.
Impact:
The application will inevitably be rejected.
How to Fix:
This process is intended only for legally registered companies that are in good standing in their country of origin.
Identity Verification Errors
After submitting the company information, identity verification of the legal representative is mandatory.
For International Companies
A valid government-issued identity document from the country of origin must be submitted, such as:
- Passport
- National ID Card
- Driver’s License
- Resident Card
- Or an equivalent official identification document
All pages or sides of the document that prove identity must be submitted (for example, front and back of the card or the main page of a passport).
⚠️ Common mistakes that delay verification:
- Sending only one side of the document
- Blurry, cropped, or unreadable images
📌 Tip: Always submit clear, high-quality, color images that show all details of the document.
Incomplete Registration
This is the step that causes the most confusion. Many merchants complete the company information stage and believe the process is finished.
In reality, without identity verification, the account remains in a pre-registration state and cannot be activated.
Therefore, after filling in the company information, it is essential to immediately proceed to the second step and complete the submission of personal documents.
Quick Approval Checklist
- Use the official legal name and business address of your company.
- Correctly fill in the Tax ID and the company registration number.
- Ensure the company is legally registered and compliant.
- Submit both front and back of the identity document.
- Complete both steps: Company Information and Personal Information.
By following these guidelines, your onboarding will be completed without delays and your account will be ready to receive payments with Cartpanda Pay.
