One-Click Upsell

CartPanda offers the One-Click Upsell, a feature that allows you to offer additional products immediately after checkout, automatically and seamlessly for the customer.


These offers appear only after payment is confirmed, increasing your chances of conversion without affecting the checkout process.

Understanding Upsell and Downsell Flow


  • You can create sequences of up to 5 upsells within a single funnel.
  • Each upsell can include up to 3 downsells, creating an intelligent, personalized offer flow.


Example Flow:


  1. Customer completes the purchase → sees Upsell 1
  2. If rejected → sees Downsell 1
  3. If accepted → redirected to Upsell 2, and so on

This system allows progressive offers:

  • Example: If Upsell 1 offers 10% off, the Downsell can offer 15%, increasing the likelihood of acceptance.


Setting Up Upsell and Downsell


  1. Go to Apps → One-Click Upsell.
  2. Click Create Upsell and add a funnel title (e.g., “Upgrade Offer”).


A sidebar will open for configuration.


Rules Tab


Define when the upsell will be displayed:


  • Always Available: the offer is always shown.
  • Total Cart value: offer appears only if the cart reaches a minimum value (e.g., over $100).
  • Products in Cart: offer appears only if specific products are in the cart.
  • Product collection in Cart: offer appears if products from a selected collection are in the cart.


Click Save and Close, then proceed to Offer Setup.



Offer Setup


Click the configuration icon to open the offer page and define:


  • Upsell Name: for internal control (e.g., Upsell 1 – Upgrade Offer)
  • Upsell Product: select the product to be offered
  • Discount Type: optional; choose fixed or percentage and enter the value
  • Offer Expiration (minutes): duration the offer is available for acceptance



Tip: Duplicate the product you want to offer and set a promotional price. Then select this product in the upsell funnel to better manage your offers.


Design Editor (Visual Preview)


Click Design → Edit to customize the offer:


  • Colors and buttons
  • Texts and call-to-actions
  • Page layout and elements

You can preview in real-time how the offer will appear to your customer


The default CartPanda design is already pre-configured. Editing is optional.



Activating the Upsell


Once configured, activate the upsell.


  • Whenever a customer buys the front-end product and meets the funnel rules, they are automatically redirected to the upsell page.


Offer Templates


To speed up funnel creation:


  1. Click Browse Templates on the app homepage.
  2. Select Add Template and name it.
  3. Customize the design and save.



You can reuse templates for future Upsell or Downsell offers, ideal for stores that frequently test different strategies.


Analytics


Click Analytics on the app homepage to track performance:


  • Total Revenue: total sales generated by upsell offers
  • Top Products: best-performing upsell products
  • Top Funnels: funnels with highest conversion rates
  • Top Offers: most accepted offers by customers


These metrics help continuously optimize your upsell strategies.



Facebook Pixel Events


Purchase events are triggered sequentially, following the customer’s navigation:


  • Customer accepts Upsell 1 → redirected to Upsell 2 → Purchase Upsell 1 event triggered
  • Customer rejects Upsell 2 → goes to Downsell 2 → no purchase event triggered
  • Customer accepts Downsell 2 → redirected to Upsell 3 → Purchase Downsell 2 triggered
  • Customer accepts Upsell 3 → redirected to thank-you page → Purchase Upsell 3 triggered


Upsell offers only work for credit card purchases.
