Customize your checkout

CartPanda provides a series of native features that allow changes to be made directly in your checkout, making it more aligned with your store’s branding and helping increase your conversion rate.


These features include:

In this article, we will explore the details of each of these features.


Checkout Template


In addition to the standard one-page checkout, a new three-step checkout model is also available


Instead of the traditional model where everything is on the same page, this checkout guides the customer to complete the purchase through three steps: Customer Details, Delivery Information, and Payment Details.



To choose which checkout type you want to use in your store, go to: Admin > Checkout and select your preferred option using the selector.



Checkout Design


When accessing the checkout customization from the admin panel, you will see three different options:


  • 1-Page Template – where you can edit and configure the one-page checkout intuitively.
  • 3-Page Template – where you can access and configure the settings for the three-step checkout.
  • Edit Code – which allows specific code-level customizations for your store.

You can add a logo, background, and change the colors of your checkout.


Please note that code customizations are the user’s responsibility, and our support team is not able to assist with these configurations.


Conversion Hacks


An important feature to increase conversion in your checkout is the Conversion Hacks section located in the Settings > Other, tab within the checkout editor.


There you can enable features such as:


  • Enable WhatsApp Button on the Thank You Page
  • Enable Email Auto-Suggestion




WhatsApp Button


With CartPanda, you can add a WhatsApp button directly on your Thank You page.

To enable it, go to:

Admin > Checkout > Edit Checkout


Then select: Settings > Other > Enable WhatsApp Button on the Thank You Page


After completing the purchase, the customer can choose to receive their order’s boleto information directly on the WhatsApp number they previously entered during checkout.


Enable Email Auto-Suggestion


This feature helps customers fill in the email field quickly during checkout by suggesting common email domain completions.


Social Proof


Social proofs are small texts and images added to the checkout to increase personalization and trust in your store.

These typically include images that reinforce trust regarding:

  • Shipping reliability
  • Secure payment
  • Product returns


You can also use images of customers with specific reviews, which may be generic or related to selected products.


To add social proof: in the checkout editor click Add new section > Social Proof. Then give the social proof section a title and add the social proofs as desired.


Exclusive Discount by Payment Method


Below, you may notice an example of a 5% discount for Credt Card payments.


This discount can be fully customized, including the discount value, text color, and background color.


To add a discount for a payment method, go to Discounts > Settings in the side menu of your CartPanda dashboard and save your changes.



If your customer clicks the Continue Shopping button on the Thank You page after completing a purchase, by default they will be redirected to your CartPanda store.


However, if you are using only the CartPanda checkout, you will probably want the customer to return to your Shopify store.

In that case, go to: admin > Thank You Page


Then change the URL to the desired destination. For example:

  • Your Shopify store homepage
  • A collections page
  • Any other page you prefer


Attention: The URL must be complete and correctly filled in, including https://. Otherwise, the redirection will not work correctly.



Checkout Discount Settings


Under Discounts > Settings in the side menu, you will find some tools related to applying discounts in your checkout. Below is how they work:


Discount by Payment Method


Add discounts for each payment method to increase checkout conversion.


Apply Highest Automatic Discount


When this option is enabled, the highest automatic discount value will be applied to the purchase.

If disabled, the active discount with the highest position in the discount list will be applied.


Apply Multiple Manual Discounts


In addition to defining how many discounts can be used together, you can also create rules where multiple discounts will only work if another specific discount has already been applied.
