Recovery abandoned shopping carts

CartPanda has a native, automated system to recover abandoned carts by sending Emails and SMS to your customers.

As soon as your customer enters their email and phone number at checkout and abandons the purchase, this information is captured and used to attempt recovery of the sale.


Abandoned Carts Page


To view abandoned carts in your store, go to the side menu → Orders → Abandoned Checkouts.


On this page, each abandoned cart shows:


  • Checkout number
  • Date abandoned
  • Email and SMS send status
  • Recovery status


When a recovery message is sent, the status will display a green check mark.

If the customer completes the purchase through the recovery link, the status will update to Recovered.


Cart Details


For more information about a specific abandoned checkout:


  1. Click on the checkout number.
  2. On the next page, you will see the cart details.
  • On the right-hand side, customer information is displayed.
  • In the center, you will see the order details.


To send the recovery link externally (outside of CartPanda), simply copy the link shown at the top of the page under Recovery Email Link Sent.


  • Your customer will be taken directly to your checkout with the previously selected products already in the cart.


Configuring Cart Recovery


The Email and SMS recovery settings can be accessed via: Admin > Notifications.


By default, the recovery emails are sent from your public email registered in your store settings.


Timing Settings


You can configure the time delay before the customer receives the recovery messages in the email layout settings. By default:


  • 1st Email: 1 hour after abandonment
  • 2nd Email: 2 hours after abandonment
  • 3rd Email: 3 hours after abandonment


Adding a Discount Coupon


CartPanda allows you to include a discount coupon in abandoned cart notifications, increasing recovery chances.


Abandoned Cart Recovery Analytics


On the Analytics page, you can track:

  • Delivery of abandoned checkout notifications
  • Carts successfully recovered through emails or SMS



Cartpanda Retry is a recently launched feature of Cartpanda Pay that automatically retries payments for declined orders (such as insufficient funds), currently available only for international sales outside Brazil.
