For Producers: How to Enable Your Product for Affiliates


The Cartpanda Affiliate Program allows you to expand the reach of your product by having affiliates promote and sell it for you, earning commissions on each sale.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to enable, configure, and manage your affiliate program, as well as explore the main options for customizing commissions and attribution rules.


Prerequisite: Activate Cartpanda Pay


Before setting up your affiliate program, Cartpanda Pay must be active.


You should go to: admin > payments > activate Cartpanda Pay



Accessing Product Settings


  1. Go to the Products section in the side menu.
  2. Click List Products.
  3. Locate the product you want to enable for affiliates and click Edit.
  4. On the product editing page, go to the Affiliates & Co-Production tab and click Manage.




Enabling the Affiliate Program


On the next screen, you can customize this product for the affiliate program.


Affiliate Program Options


Define the product’s affiliate rules:


  • Do not allow affiliates: Selecting this option disables affiliate access for the product.
  • Anyone can become my affiliate: Any user can request affiliation, and approval will be automatic, allowing them to promote the product immediately.
  • Only approved affiliates: Affiliation requires your manual approval. Only after approval can the affiliate promote the product.


Abandoned Carts


You can allow affiliates to earn commissions on recovered abandoned cart sales.


Affiliates will have access to the Abandoned Checkouts of this product and can view information such as:


  • Total value
  • Net value
  • Customer name
  • Email
  • Phone


This feature helps track and recover lost sales.


Affiliate Upsell Permissions


You can allow (or restrict) affiliates from including your product in their upsell funnels.


Important: For physical products, if the item is included in an affiliate’s upsell funnel, shipping will be free for the customer with no additional charges.


About My Product


Here you can add important details for your affiliates:


  • Exclusive affiliate support email
  • Product description (required for Marketplace display)

Use this space to highlight your product’s advantages and encourage promotion.


Commission Settings


Set how affiliates will be compensated:

  • Percentage commission
  • Fixed commission (CPA)

Example: 3% commission


Other available options:


  • Include or exclude shipping in the commission calculation
  • Choose attribution model: Last Click (Recommended) or First Click
  • Set the duration of the attribution cookie (e.g., 30 days)


The interface also shows a simulation of net earnings with and without affiliates.


Inviting Affiliates


You can manually invite affiliates using a direct link:


  1. Copy the invitation link.
  2. Send it to the desired affiliate.

The same link can be used to invite multiple affiliates.

Note: The affiliate must have a Cartpanda account to accept the invitation and join the program.


Making Your Product Visible on the Marketplace


To make your product visible publicly, check “Show my product in the Marketplace” and save.


Using the Affiliate Script on Landing Pages


If you sell products through a Landing Page (LP) instead of an online store, you need to ensure affiliates are correctly credited for sales.


Add this script to your page code:

Purpose:

The script captures and stores the afid parameter (affiliate ID) whenever a customer accesses your LP through an affiliate link. Even if the purchase buttons lead directly to checkout, the system ensures the affiliate receives the correct commission.


Setup:


  1. Open your Landing Page editor (WordPress, Webflow, Elementor, etc.).
  2. Paste the script in the <head> section of your page. For visual builders, use the custom code field in the Head.
  3. Publish your LP.
  4. Ask affiliates to continue sharing the LP link with ?afid=... appended.


Example:https://mylandingpage.com/offer?afid=abcd1234


How It Works:


  1. Customer accesses your LP via the affiliate link.
  2. Script records the afid.
  3. When the customer clicks the purchase button, the afid is automatically passed to checkout.
  4. Result: The sale is correctly logged with the affiliate’s commission in the dashboard.


You can also find the same script in the product details under the Global Marketplace section. The Copy Script and Validate buttons appear once the information is filled and saved.


Adding Your Landing Page Link for Affiliates


In the product settings, under the affiliate program, go to the Links tab.

Insert your Landing Page link so affiliates can access and promote it.
