Through Cartpanda, you can offer exclusive discounts to your customers directly at checkout.

Currently, we provide two discount options:

1. Discount Coupon: You provide a code for your customer to enter at checkout. Learn how to configure it here
2. Automatic Discounts: You set a discount amount that will be applied automatically at checkout. This article explains how to set it up.

How to Create an Automatic Discount

Step 1

To create an automatic discount, go to our Discounts section or click here

Then, click Create Discount and choose whether the discount applies to:

• ORDER: The discount will be applied to the total order value.
• PRODUCT: The discount will be applied to the specific product selected in the rule.

Step 2

Give a name to your automatic discount. This name will be displayed to your customer if the discount field is active at checkout.

Step 3

Choose the type of discount you want to offer:

• Percentage: Enter a specific percentage that will be applied to the order subtotal.
• Fixed Amount: Enter a fixed value that will be applied to the order subtotal.
• Buy X, Get Y: Select a specific product or collection for purchase and another product that the customer will receive for free

Step 4

Choose whether the discount applies to:

• The Entire order
• A specific collection
• A specific product

Additional Fields

Optional fields can be configured to control when the discount is applied:

Minimum Requirement

Set rules for the discount to apply, such as a minimum cart value or minimum quantity of items.

Cart Total Requirement

Decide whether to limit usage to pre-defined cart amounts.

Active Dates

Set the start and end date for the discount. You can also enable the option to combine the discount coupon with the automatic discount using Enable sum with standard discount.

The automatic discount will only be applied if the customer enters at least their email at checkout.

Rules for Multiple Discounts

By default, if multiple automatic discounts are available, the highest value discount will be applied.

To change this behavior:

1. Go to Discounts > Settings or click here
2. Disable Apply highest value automatic discount.

When this option is disabled, priority will follow the order in the discount list, with the first discount taking precedence.

You can reorder discounts by dragging and dropping them in the desired position.

About the “Apply Highest Value Automatic Discount” Feature

When this feature is enabled, discounts cannot be combined. Only the highest value discount will apply.

Example 1:

• A fixed discount coupon is higher than a payment method discount.
• Result: The payment method discount is removed and replaced by the fixed coupon.

Example 2:

• Automatic/payment discount is higher than a fixed coupon.
• Result: The discount will not be applied, and a notification message will appear.
